Tour of Singapore

Last weekend 12 of us went to Singapore for Tour of Singapore. Organized by the CAS crew with 120km route to smash. It wasn’t a race but you need to do it in a team of 3 and you have to do it with your track bike. So me, Apis and Mior registered as a team and the rest of us did it with their roadbikes. All photos was captured with my Iphone 5. I had to ditch my Dslr as I’ve decided to travel as light as I can.. Click more for the trip report.. Packing is the first step of travelling. I hate it sometimes because I always do it on the very last minute and I’m always late. But lucky I got a Challanger to rescue me. Thanks to T-Level for making it easier! Loading.. Gotta give it to Apis to get it done.

Kids, always remember when your passport is about to expired, go get yourself a new one 6 months before the expired date. So glad the officer had let us go as Mior’s passport was only about a month to expired..

As far as I notice, we might be the only non local team to participate. Eventough with maps and direction given by the organizer it was really hard for us to find the right way. We did asked for a direction but not sure if they’re local chinese of some chinese dude from China. So, we got lost alots of times. It was apart of the game.. All good thoThere was 3 checkpoint and we need to take a photo at every checkpoint. We decided to go all selfie Some minor climbs and super long stretch This kid still be able to smile in this super hot weatherAt this point I believe we already passed all the groups. But decided to stay on their wheel since they know the fastest way to end it and they were there to navigate us. Thanks guys!Mior enjoying the sun

Eventough we’re the last team to start, I’m glad that we had finished the ride as the 9th team to arrived. It took us 4 hours to complete the tour. Well done lads!They arrived about 3 hours later and unlike Jain who didn’t complete the ride, Mel can’t even smile anymore. Good job guys! The next day we heads back to KL and make a stop somewhere around Muar for lunch. All of my great memories for this trip was translate into this delicious Mee Rebus. It was sooooo goood! Thank you so much Alveen aka Bhai for treating us with the best asam pedas, rojak buah, mee rebus etc. I can’t get enough so I took 4 pack of mee rebus to bring it back home. I will definitely come back!

All of us had a great time in Singapore. It was my 2nd tour. There were nothing to offer as prize souvenier etc. But we’re there for the sake of good relationship we have build for years. We will always be there no matter what. Congratulation for the organizer for the great event. Until then, Ciao!

3500m climb for an ice cream

Last Sunday 6 of us went out for a ride to Bentong, 115km in total. Doesn’t sounds tough enough but imagine climbing up the mountains, back and forth for 4 hours on the saddle. Click more to join our adventure..

We planned to be at the starting point at 7.00 am. But as a typical Malaysian, we’ll never be on time.

As we started to roll at 8.30First stop on the top of Genting Sempah. Some of Malaysian rider on the regular training And we rode into the haze. Whilst listening to Foals, Spanish Sahara. It was really cold. I feel like I’m in Europe.Conquered the mountains.The road was too wet, the brake was to slippery. We make a stop to wipe our brake surface.And some of some had a mechanical problemWe out here!The infamous Ikan Patin masak tempoyak.Finally we reached our goal! I’m sorry for the lack of post for this past months. I’ve been busy organizing myself since I moved to my own place. Living without your parents around is so much harder than I thought. I need to make sure at the end of the month, there’s some saving for me to pay bills. Sounds easy but to do so, I need to work my ass off. On top of that, I just bought a new car.

I’ve put alot of projects on hold at the moment and I really wish I have more time to get it done. For this past few months I’ve been riding alot to get my mind clear. Getting to places I have never been before be it with good friends or doing it solo is really an eye opener. I just love to roll out from my house, getting lost in the middle of nowhere, climb some great mountain, enjoy great street foods etc. It just makes me happy.

On the other note, I just deactived my FB acc since I found it useless and full of shit. If you keen to keep on some updates, look out for me on Instagram and Strava where I usually post my daily routine.

I’ll try to post some updates on this side. Untill then, click more to checkout some photos from my post ride.
